Monte Sano Galleries

Through the Rock Cuts : Janie and I went on a nice hike on the Monte Sano trails today, and went through the Rock cuts formation. This is a natural 'subway' kind of configuration, where you actually go into a tunnel through the rocks. Got some shots of this, and of some of the flora and fauna on the mountain in the Spring season.

McKay Trail : Today my wife and I went for a 6 mile hike on one of the many beautiful trails on Monte Sano mountain in Huntsville, AL. We went down the side of the mountain about 600 feet and then back up (pant). She's in a whole lot better shape than me, so most shots of her are from behind....

Water Line Trail : Went for a nice hike with my wife Janie on the local Land Trust trails, and climbed the Water Line trail again. Boy, is that a tough one (~300 feet up in a quarter mile) Got a few nice pics. Hope you enjoy.

Burritt Trails : This is the nature trail at the Burritt on the Mountain museum. Didn't know if I would make it back after hiking down the mountainside. It was very hazy, so the shots of the valley aren't real clear. I'm going to try to get back up there on a day with less fog / haze.
